Custom upholstery elements play a key role in shaping the tactile and immersive experience of the Tim and Gina Fairfax Discovery Centre. The project features bespoke bench seating, upholstered wall nooks, and playful soft forms designed for comfort, durability, and active engagement. Custom wool-printed foam rollers and upholstered rock elements add texture, colour and sensory interest, supporting hands-on learning through play. Each upholstered component was carefully crafted to integrate seamlessly with the architectural storytelling of the space, while meeting the demands of a high-use, multi-generational public environment.
